Biography: Dr. Michael Loshigian is a podiatrist and a board certified foot surgeon. He is a Clinical Instructor at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC, as well as NY Hospital Queens where he is in part responsible for the instruction of podiatry residents. He is also on staff at NYU Langone Medical Center and the Fifth Avenue Surgery Center. Dr. Loshigian's areas of expertise include: Medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle including congenital and acquired structural deformities, trauma, and infections. Sports Medicine. Arthroscopic surgery of the foot and ankle. Treatment of torn ligaments and tendons. Surgical and non-surgical management of fractures of the foot. Preventative and surgical treatment of Diabetes related complications of the foot and ankle. Management of foot infections including skin, soft tissues, and bone. Custom foot orthotics for accommodation of foot deformities and for performance enhancement in competitive sports. Treatment of children's foot conditions. Doctor Michael Loshigian earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with honors, from the State University of New York. He completed the Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine program Magna Cum Laude from the Wm. M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Returning to New York, he completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and NYHQ, both academic affiliates of the Weil Medical College of Cornell University. He then entered private practice in 1995. In 1997 Dr. Loshigian founded The Metropolitan Foot Group, a private practice limited to Podiatry & Reconstructive Foot Surgery, and in 2005 also joined the Murray Hill Medical Group as their Chief Podiatrist. Being a meticulous and innovative surgeon, Dr. Loshigian offers his patients the latest in surgical techniques. His goals are to provide them the fastest possible recovery, a minimum discomfort, and return to normal function. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery for which he has served as an examiner. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Biography: Graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte prior to completing my podiatric medical education at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where I served as a National Delegate for our Student National Podiatric Medical Association as well as a high level of involvement with other medical and surgical organizations.Residency with Northwell Health at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital covering Level 1 trauma centers across multiple counties where I served as Chief Resident as well as winning Outstanding resident of the year during my tenure.Fellowship in Foot & Ankle Deformity Correction at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, FL under the tutelage of Dr. Bradley Lamm at one of the most exclusive and long-standing foot & ankle fellowships in the country.Speaker at multiple national events on Achilles tendon injuries, Ankle instability, minimally invasive bunion surgery, and deformity correction, as well as publishing peer reviewed articles on limb lengthening and minimally invasive surgery.Associate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, Board Qualified American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot Reconstructive and Ankle Surgery.Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine,Board certified American Board of Podiatric Medicine.Member of American Association of Podiatric Sports Medicine.Practiced in an underserved community in Binghamton, NY prior to joining PALP at WCM.Completed 7 marathons and counting.
