Biography: R. Douglas Wills, MD, MS, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Pratt Medical Group in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dr. Wills is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Virginia) and completed his orthopedic residency training at Wayne State University - Detroit Medical Center.Prior to medical school, he earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Virginia. Dr. Wills has over 20 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon.Dr. Wills is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is highly skilled in minimally-invasive robotic surgery and in treating high energy trauma to the extremities. In addition, his specialties include total knee and hip replacement, as well as arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries.Dr. Wills has served as a clinical mentor for surgical first assistants at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville.
