Care Philosophy: General Surgeon Edward Eric Horvath, DO, FACS likes to use humor and stories to get to know his patients. He wants them to feel that when they come to see him he's not just a doctor. That way, on the day of their surgery, they're not fearful. He also likes to draw pictures and make sure his patients are confident that they know exactly what he's going to do, why he's going to do it, and that they're going to do great.

Care Philosophy: As a surgeon, I just don't just perform procedures; I facilitate a patient's journey back to a fulfilling life. My surgical expertise, combined with post-operative care, assists patients in regaining functionality, reducing pain, and ultimately, returning to a life filled with health, happiness, and possibilities.

Biography: Dr. Michael Ewing grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Corpus Christi during high school. He received an undergraduate degree at Dallas Baptist University, a Master's of Science at UNT Health Science Center. He then graduated with Honors from Texas A&M Medical School and went on to complete his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Ewing was named outstanding resident teacher by Texas A&M Medicine. He recently returned to Corpus Christi to serve the community, specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Ewing performs surgery for breast cancer, colon and small bowel diseases, complex abdominal and para-esophageal/hiatal hernias, gastric disease, melanoma and other skin cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disease, adrenal/spleen, gallbladder and appendicle disease.
