Care Philosophy: Urologic oncology is a multidisciplinary field that incorporates innovative surgical technology, systemic treatments such as chemotherapy as well as a focused research effort. As a Professor of Urology and the Clinical Director of Urologic Oncology I continually interact with colleagues in areas of medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology among others in order to provide the most comprehensive and innovative care for our patients with prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer. Advances in robotic technology along with scientific progress in our precision medicine program have allowed us to direct therapy in unprecedented ways. Biography: Michael J. Amirian, MD, a urologic surgeon, is an assistant professor of clinical urology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an attending surgeon in the division of urology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. He is board certified in urology and urologic surgery and has advanced training in stone disease, voiding dysfunction, and robotic surgery.Dr. Amirian has been practicing for more than nine years, providing medical and surgical treatment for conditions, including kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and erectile dysfunction. He is a dedicated physician and utilizes the latest technology to deliver high quality and personalized care to his patients. He delivers lectures and presentations on medical urology ans surgical procedures and has published book chapters, abstracts, and research in an array of national and international medical journals.Dr. Amirian earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He remained there to complete his residency in urologic surgery, where he was named Chief Resident in his final year. He is interested in international medicine and volunteerism and was selected to travel to Ghana as a resident scholar to help establish a surgical workshop.Dr. Amirian is fluent in English and Farsi.

Biography: Dr. Barbara Chubak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending urologist at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. In addition to providing general urologic care, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunction for all patients, regardless of sex, gender, orientation, or congenital condition. She is particularly committed to addressing the sexual health needs of women and other populations who have been historically marginalized and underserved, while also attending to the voiding dysfunctions and pain syndromes with which they are frequently comorbid. Dr. Chubak received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins, while also earning a master's degree in the history of medicine. Her residency training at Montefiore Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine was bracketed by fellowships in bioethics and sexual medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. She is certified in prosthetic surgery by the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and in vulvoscopy by the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. Informed by these various academic disciplines, Dr. Chubak is committed to providing safe, effective, and patient-empowering medical and surgical care.
