Biography: Kenneth H. Yamamura, MD is Board Certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine, and received his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1993. Dr. Yamamura completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at University of Miami/Jacksonville in Miami, Florida, followed by a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology at University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Yamamura specializes in cardiology at Regional Medical Center Bayonet, HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, and is a practicing cardiology at West Coast Arrhythmia Center in Hudson and Trinity, Florida. Biography: ?James Irwin, MD, is a board certified electrophysiology cardiologist with over 35 years of experience. He has an undergraduate degree in combined sciences from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Irwin earned his Doctor of Medicine from Penn State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency from the University of Pittsburgh, Presbyterian and Veterans Administration Hospitals in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Irwin then completed a cardiology/electrophysiology and pacing fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Caroline. An accomplished author of research papers and articles, Dr. Irwin has contributed to a number of prestigious publications including the American Journal of Cardiology and Journal of American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association and the Hillsborough County Medical Association.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. In 1994, Robert Sheppard, MD, FACC, FHRS brought to the Heart Institute a new era of expertise by developing the cardiac electrophysiology department and currently serves as director of cardiac electrophysiology & pacing. He developed the first cardiac electrophysiology laboratory in St. Petersburg, FL and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He performed the first catheter ablation and implanted the first cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator/pacemaker in St. Petersburg, FL. Dr. Sheppard received his undergraduate degree from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook, Stony Brook, N.Y. He obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College - Valhalla, N.Y. and completed his fellowship training in both cardiology and electrophysiology & pacing at Hahnemann University - Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Sheppard was an assistant professor of medicine at Hahnemann University before moving to Florida and served as clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of South Florida. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Sheppard is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. He has written many publications for a variety of peer reviewed journals, textbook chapters and pursues his interest in research by participating in numerous previous and current clinical research trials. In 2007, 2009 and 2011 Dr. Sheppard was the only cardiovascular disease specialist in Pinellas County named to the list of America?s Best Doctors.

Biography: Raul A. Jimenez, MD is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Internal Medicine, and received his medical degree from University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Jimenez completed an Internship and a Residency in Internal Medicine at University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a Fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Dr. Jimenez specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, and performs procedures such as: Electrophysiology Study (EPS); Pacemaker; ICD (Insertable Cardioverter Defibrillator); NIPS (Noninvasive Program Stimulation); Cardioversion; Catheter Ablation; Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE); Head-Up Tilt Table Test (HUTT). Dr. Jimenez is a practicing clinical cardiac electrophysiologist with West Coast Arrhythmia Center in Hudson, Florida.

Biography: Dr. Annoni is the Director of Electrophysiology at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. He attended medical school at Universidad Madre y Maestra, located in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He continued his education as an intern at Jose Maria Cabrel y Baez Hospital, and finished his residency in Puerto Rico at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, where he also completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Annoni began work at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, completing his specialty fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
