He completed his residency in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., a cardiology fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, and an electrophysiology fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Ambati is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Board of Internal Medicine, through which he received the professional credentials of Board Certified Electrophysiologist, Board Certified Cardiologist, and Board Certified Internist, respectively. In addition, he is board certified in cardiovascular neurology and is a member of the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association
