Care Philosophy: After practicing in a hospital for 17 years, he wished to bring convenient, office based interventional pain management to the area so he founded PainCARE at 105th and Metcalf in Overland Park. Dr. Bruning is a voracious reader and continues to keep abreast of new and exciting treatments for management of pain. He also is a great resource for trusted referrals to excellent physicians when different treatments or surgery is needed to make his patients better. Recently, he is excited to add Platelet Rich Plasma and Stem Cell Regenerative injections to his practice for his patients. This new and innovative treatment has been used by elite athletes to repair torn and degenerated muscles, ligaments, tendons, and has shown promising results in treatment of some degenerative joint conditions. Biography: Dr. Norman Bamber is a respected board-certified neurosurgeon with Neurosurgery of South Kansas City Medical Group with offices located in Overland Park, KS and Lee's Summit, MO. Dr. Bamber has more than 10 years of experience with Neurological Surgery. Dr. Bamber has a special interest in adult minimally invasive spinal procedures, spinal fusions, and treatment of many diseases of the spine, including degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma or fractures, and spinal tumors. Dr. Bamber also treats patients for benign or malignant brain tumors, subdural hematomas, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and Ulnar Nerve Entrapment. Dr. Bamber received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 2001. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Loyola University Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Bamber has also completed his Doctorate of Philosophy in Neurobiology from St. Louis University.
