He performed his surgical training at Indiana University Medical Center before completing his anesthesia residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Additional specialty fellowships in spine care and pain management were completed at Texas Tech University Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with additional subspecialty certification in Pain Management, and is board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine.After training with leading international neurosurgeons, orthopedists and neurologists, he became a clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
