Biography: Christina Lewis MD, FAAP grew up in Slidell, LA before heading to Mobile, AL to attend Spring Hill College where she earned her degree in Biology. She then returned to New Orleans to attend medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine and since has completed her residency training at the combined Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency Program.During her time in residency, Dr. Lewis has mentored multiple co-residents, interns, and medical students and has served on the Tulane-Ochsner Clinical Learning Environment Committee working to improve the overall resident experience. She has also served as Resident Representative on Ochsners Child Health Committee working to ensure optimal patient care. In her work with the Tulane-Ochsner Advocacy Program, she created a database for the Guidelines for Adolescent Preventative Services screening tools, enabling her to characterize the patient population so as to better serve them. Outside of her training, Dr. Lewis has enjoyed establishing her family and she is now the proud Mama of three children with her husband, Chester Lewis, Jr.Professional organization affiliations include the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics
