Biography: Dr. Salvo is double board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and specializes in knee ligament (ACL) reconstructions, shoulder instability, rotator cuff repairs, and hip arthroscopy. He specializes in surgical and nonsurgical treatments of the hip, knee, and shoulder and is dedicated to joint preservation, attempting nonoperative treatment methods first before recommending surgical intervention. Dr. Frey utilizes ultrasound-guided injections as well as stem cell injections and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to help stimulate the natural healing process.
