Biography: Dr. Katrina Wade's area of clinical expertise is gynecologic cancers, including cervical, uterine, vulvar and ovarian cancer, as well as gestational trophoblastic disease. Biography: Dr. Torres joined the Ochsner team as a gynecologic oncologist after completing his fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and residency at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. He specializes in the care of women with endometrial, ovarian, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers and complex surgical needs. He provides minimally invasive surgical options to women, including robotic and laparoscopic-assisted procedures, and is trained in sentinel lymph node biopsy for uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancer. He also performs ovarian cancer debulkings and radical procedures for other gynecologic cancers. His research interests include quality improvement, enhanced recovery, and ovarian cancer molecular subtypes. His work has been presented at national and international conferences, and he has nearly a dozen peer-reviewed publications, two of which were the lead article in Gynecologic Oncology. He is also actively involved in professional societies and is a member of the NRG Ovarian Cancer Committee and the SGO Task Force.
