Biography: Stephanie Batalao, ARNP, is an advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in gynecological care. Stephanie believes in establishing a partnership with the patient and her entire team to achieve one common goal - optimal health for the patient.

Care Philosophy: Karen Dykes, ARNP, offers infectious disease and wound care management for patients age 14 and older. She specializes in HIV care, soft tissue infections and sexually transmitted infections. Karen believes that patients who are actively engaged in their health care have better outcomes. Toward this end, she listens compassionately to patient concerns, offers education about the specifics of their disease state and all treatment options, and maintains open communication between patient and provider. Karen has served as preceptor and lecturer at the University of Washington School of Nursing, and as speaker and coordinator for the state HIV education program for health care professionals. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC). In her off-hours, Karen enjoys rock climbing, skiing and playing her upright bass in an all-female bluegrass band.
