Biography: Donna Tash, CNM, MSN is a Certified Nurse Midwife with Dignity Health Medical Group in the Obstetrics and Gynecological Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Donna received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Pennsylvania State University. She completed the Nurse Midwifery program at the University of Arizona and earned a Master’s degree in Maternal Child Health from Arizona State University. She was certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwifes in1983 and is a current member and former officer of the College. Her midwifery career has spanned over 30 years; primarily working in the East Valley where she was the first Nurse-Midwife to obtain hospital privileges and to start a private practice. Prior to helping establish the current nurse-midwifery service at St Joseph’s, Donna worked at a birthing center for over five years. She has continually been an advocate and supporter of natural childbirth and breastfeeding.
