During this time, he deployed several times to the Middle East and acted as Chief of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.Dr. Peirce joins Utah Surgical Associates as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. His interests include bariatric surgery, hernia surgery, anti-reflux surgery and minimally invasive surgery to include laparoscopic and robotic procedures. He performs several forms of bariatric surgery to include sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, single anastomosis duodeno-ileostomy with sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch and revisional surgery.Outside of his professional career, Dr. Peirce loves to be with his wife and three children and is excited to return to Utah Valley. He remains in the US Army Reserves and is fluent in Spanish.


Biography: Dr. Tyler Allen is a skilled General Surgeon joining Utah Surgical Associates. With expertise in advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery with a special interest in bariatric and foregut procedures, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to patient care. Dr. Allen completed his residency in Denver, Colorado and is happy to be back to Utah where he grew up. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, spending time with his family, and exploring the great outdoors. He is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our community through innovative and personalized care.
