Care Philosophy: Surgical care for patients is my passion; making sure my patients receive excellent medical and surgical care, with all options; helping each step along the way- to schedule efficiently, and set up followup appointments quickly by friendly caring staff, who answer phones when you call. I am a rare surgeon, completely independent; I hold privileges in all area hospital systems: MultiCare and CHI- Fransican, and out -patient at Meridian Surgery Center. Care Philosophy: Thomas Schleichert, DO, is a general surgeon who provides safe, high quality patient care. Understanding that surgery can be a stressful and intimidating event, he strives to ease these sentiments by building a trusting relationship with each patient and creating a supportive environment. His goal is for his patients to feel confident that all their questions and concerns have been addressed and that they will receive the best care possible. He believes in maintaining cost-effective practices, and uses evidence-based medicine to drive and support this approach. Dr. Schleichert trained with renowned colorectal surgeons at the Ferguson Clinic and has extensive experience practicing at a Breast Cancer Center of Excellence (Grand Rapids, Michigan). Outside of work, Dr. Schleichert enjoys being outdoors with his wife and daughters, ice hockey, baseball and skiing.

Care Philosophy: Robert Brasch, MD, is an experienced, board-certified general surgeon who combines compassion, empathy and teamwork to achieve the best overall result for each patient. He enjoys getting to know his patients, is a good listener and has a great sense of humor. Dr. Brasch is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He served as a general medical officer in the United States Marine Corps. Outside of work, he enjoys golf and running.

Care Philosophy: Shalini Kanneganti, MD, is a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in the treatment of colon and rectal diseases. Her areas of expertise include the laparoscopic treatment of colon and rectal disease; diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy;surgical management of colon and rectal cancer; inflammatory bowel disease; diverticulitis; rectal prolapse; hemorrhoids; fecal incontinence; anal fissures; anal abscesses; and fistulas. Dr. Kanneganti endeavors to deliver care with the highest order of compassion and innovation. She is dedicated to healing patients through surgical intervention.

Joseph, Jr., MD, is a board-certified general surgeon providing both open and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery for a range of conditions, including complex hernia repair, gallbladder removal and colon cancer management. Dr. Joseph has practiced in the Pacific Northwest for more than two decades and brings with him a warm, personable style and commitment to quality care. He takes the time to ensure that patients undergoing surgical procedures understand both the risks and benefits, and he encourages them to ask questions.

Care Philosophy: Eugene Cho, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in laparoscopic procedures, with special interest in surgery for heartburn, hernias, gallstones, spleen and adrenal problems. Drawn to medicine for the ability to help others, Dr. Cho believes the most important aspect of care is educating his patients about their health problem and treatment options. Dr. Cho is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and many others.

Care Philosophy: Shanley Deal, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) surgery for obesity (bariatric surgery), benign esophageal disorders (reflux disease, paraesophageal hernias, achalasia) and gastrointestinal surgery.
