I often find myself sitting in a patient's room for an extended period of time explaining treatment options, I routinely end up checking on hospitalized patients late in the evening, and I frequently have office visits that run over the scheduled time. I may see several patients in a day, but I strive to make each one feel as they are my only patient. I will admit that this personal attention does cause me to run a bit late from time to time. However, I have found over the years that patients are understanding of the occasional delay as they know they have my full attention, dedication and time when I am with them.
