Biography: Dr. Giselle M. Torres Cordero, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her family medicine residency at New York Medical College, St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY, in 2021. Her accolades include being elected president of the Family Medicine Interest Group, the Rhea M. Barton, M.D., Family Health Center Award, and being Intern of the Year. Dr. Torres Cordero earned her medical degree from the Central University of the Caribbean in Bayamon, PR, and her Bachelor's in Cellular & Molecular Biology magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico. She has researched LGBT health. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Torres Cordero practiced at Premier Family Health, Wellington, FL, and Charter Care Associates in Rhode Island. Experienced in treating older adults and managing chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and nutrition, her philosophy centers on genuinely listening to her patients and providing personalized care for long-term wellness. Dr. Torres Cordero chose medicine to make a difference and has volunteered at Padre Venard Clinics, caring for underserved communities.
