As part of that goal, we have an Ambulatory Surgery Center next to our medical office with state-of-the-art equipment. This center is Medicare Certified and provides an opportunity for patients to have their procedure(s) done outside a hospital setting at substantially lower costs while maintaining the highest quality. Biography: Dr. Farhaad C. Golkar, MD, FACS is a board-certified Surgeon at HCA Florida Citrus Surgical Specialists. Dr. Golkar received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in 2000 and obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida in 2005. Later on, in 2005, Dr. Golkar began his residency in General Surgery and completed his Advanced GI Surgery/Hepato-pancreato-biliary Fellowship in 2011 at the University of South Florida.Dr. Golkar demonstrates exemplary skills and knowledge with years of service, while also providing high-quality care. Whether you need a minimally-invasive surgery or surgical treatment for a cancer diagnosis, patients can expect the compassion and care they deserve.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. Kim specializes in the surgical treatment of complex conditions involving the heart, lung and vascular system. He has extensive experience in high risk coronary artery bypass graft surgery, heart valve surgery, minimally invasive lung surgery, endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, carotid surgery and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Kim is a member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare experts who are dedicated to improving the lives of patients and their families through compassionate and high quality surgical care. Dr. Kim is the Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital and the Director of the Structural Heart Program. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is a distinguished Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Kim received the Physician's Excellence in Healthcare Award in 2017 and the Frist Humanitarian Award in 2018 for his contribution to exemplary patient care. In 2010, he and others founded the Mended Hearts of Citrus chapter, a support group for patients recovering from heart disease. Under his leadership, the hospital has received the highest quality rating for cardiac surgery by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Dr. Kim is actively involved in teaching the next generation of healthcare providers through mentorship and scholarship programs. He regularly participates in medical missions to improve global health delivery and training across the world.
