Biography: Dr. Patel made the decision at a very young age that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and work in dentistry. He can even recall back to the age of 7, walking around his father's practice, constructing and playing around with all the dental models. This love for dentistry stuck with him all throughout his teenage years and into college. Prior to attending dental school, he earned his bachelor's degree of science in biology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Not long after graduation, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and attend the same graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. There, he gained extensive knowledge in multiple fields of dentistry, including cosmetic, restorative, and surgical. In 2000, he completed UPenn's dental medicine program and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduation, he joined his father's successful practice and was mentored by him there. This mentoring in highly specialized care immediately put Dr. Patel five to seven years ahead of his peers. In his first month working with his father, he learned how to perform full-mouth rehabilitations, which newly trained dentists are usually not too keen on. His extensive knowledge in the field does not end there. In 2008, he embarked on a special educational journey by taking an extensive course in dental implantology. Before taking this course, he would typically recommend dental bridges and partial dentures to his patients in need of some restoration. Now, by specializing in dental implantology, he can provide his patients with better-quality teeth that will last a lifetime. His practice emphasizes providing patients comfort and bringing them satisfaction. He does this best by keeping up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. This is a point that his late father stressed should be done and something that he continues to honor.

Biography: As a dedicated and board-certified dental implant surgeon and periodontist, Dmitriy Klass, DDS, MSD, shares our practice™s overarching philosophy of ensuring our patients receive today™s most clinically professional periodontal, individualized and compassionate dental implant and periodontal services. Dr. Klass specializes in advanced dental implant procedures, gum and bone-grafting techniques and regenerative treatments to combat periodontal disease. He particularly enjoys diagnosing issues, then educating about best practice methods to improve oral health utilizing today™s most minimally invasive, comfortable, and evidence-based techniques. Dr. Klass earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYU). He completed his specialty residency in periodontics and achieved a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) from Boston University™s Henry M. Goldman Graduate School of Dental Medicine. Originally from Belarus, Dr. Klass is fluent in the Russian language. As a young child, he emigrated with his family to New York and now is thrilled to reside in Philadelphia. Outside of work, Dr. Klass loves basketball, fitness, tinkering with cars and computers, dabbling in photography and exploring the area with family and friends.
