Biography: Danielle Van Komen, FNP-C, came to Ogden Regional Medical Center's outpatient Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine clinic in 2019 with a strong desire to work in the medical field, specifically in wound care. She thoroughly enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. She has a passion to help people of all backgrounds with chronic wounds, heal. She is certified as a hyperbaric advanced practitioner (CAQ-HAP) and specializes in wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and limb preservation. Having previously lived in New York, Alabama, England, and Iceland, she settled in Utah where she attended Weber State University and Maryville University. While pursuing her education she continued to have a strong desire help others, do more, and learn more which led her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Outside of her practice she enjoys reading books, fishing, playing golf and volleyball, playing the organ and the piano, watching hockey, and spending time with her family.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Malufau has a passion for patient care. He enjoys the satisfaction of helping patients who may have had little hope of healing chronic wounds gain success in their healing. In the art of medicine, treatments are not always successful, and Dr. Malufau welcomes the opportunity to be an advocate for patients who may have a terminal disease to also find peace. The specialty of wound and hyperbaric medicine is an ever-growing field and one that Dr. Malufau enjoys supporting his patients through their healing journey.
