Biography: Brandon Swed, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. His clinical interest is in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. His research is focused on novel therapeutics and drug development for pancreatic cancer. Dr. Swed received his B.S. in Neuroscience and Chemistry from the University of Miami. He earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where he was the recipient of the Weinberger Award for distinction in Hematology and Medical Oncology and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he led several quality improvement initiatives as part of the Healthcare Leadership in Quality program. He continued his medical training at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, where he completed his clinical fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology, having served as chief fellow during his final year. Dr. Swed cares for patients with a broad array of hematologic and oncologic diseases, with a particular focus on treating patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. He has also been involved in several translational and clinical research projects focused on novel therapies for pancreatic cancer and was selected to participate in the 2021 AACR-ASCO Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop to further develop this work.

Biography: After receiving her BS in Biology at the University of North Texas, Dr. Evelyn Taiwo obtained her MD at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Following her residency at Boston University Medical Center, she completed a three-year fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Taiwo served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn from July 2011-2019, and as Attending Physician and Site Director for the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program at Kings County Hospital. While at Kings County Hospital, she served in a leadership role as Director of the Breast Cancer Clinic, overseeing the operations, research activities, clinical care delivery, and education. As a researcher, Dr. Taiwo has contributed to a number of studies on cancer presentation in urban and minority patient populations.

Biography: Peter Gregos, M.D., M.S. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Dr. Gregos specializes in treating patients with a wide variety of hematological (blood) disorders and cancers, with a focus in genitourinary cancers. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University and a Master's degree in Biomedical Science from Barry University. Dr. Gregos received his medical degree with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. He then completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he also completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Gregos was named Physician of the Year at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2019.

Care Philosophy: I have been Service Chief of the BenignHematology Service in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology since 2006. As a clinician, my main interest is in the care of patients with thrombotic and bleeding disorders. As a researcher who conducts clinical trials in Benign Hematology, my interest is in thrombosis and hemostasis, specifically thrombophilic disorders and women's health issues. It is my hope that through dedication to the care of each individual patient, and dedication to research that will ultimately improve that care, we will meet our overall mission of helping our patients to have a better quality of life.

Biography: Dr. Julianne Lauring is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She graduated from Boston University and received her M.D. from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.She was the Associate Residency Program Director for OB/GYN at Umass Chan Medical school from 2018 to 2020. She was awarded the faculty teaching award at Umass Memorial Health in 2019. She assumed the role of Maternity Center Medical Director at Umass Memorial Health in 2020. During her time, she implemented a significant number of quality improvement projects that improved patient care and patient experience.She is excited to join the team at Weill Cornell Medicine to continue the ongoing work. She is particularly interested in improving the ways we provide care while also enhancing the patient experience and reducing health disparities.

Biography: Tracy B Grossman MD MSc is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist and Director of the Advanced Women's Imaging and Prenatal Testing Center at New York-Presbyterian- Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She is also an assistant professor of clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.Along with a passion for ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, Dr. Grossman is also very interested in neurologic disorders in pregnancy, such as seizure disorders, migraine, and multiple sclerosis. She has written a book chapter for a neurology textbook focusing on multiple sclerosis in pregnant women, has authored many papers about migraine in pregnancy, and is an active member of the American Headache Society's First Contact Headache in Primary Care committee. Her expertise includes obstetric ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, including procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) as well as gynecologic ultrasounds and saline infusion sonography (SIS). Dr Grossman also performs termination of pregnancy procedures through the second trimester and is passionate about providing support for women considering termination, as well as education for medical trainees seeking to learn about termination of pregnancy. After graduating from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, Dr. Grossman completed a Master's Degree in Neuroscience at Columbia University in New York, New York and then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Ehab Abdelmalek is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience. He received his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, after which he joined the Downstate faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor, serving a community in need of healthcare resources.While there, Dr. Abdelmalek was involved in research to help improve conditions for his patients. His dedication led to his promotion as Director of Labor and Delivery where he oversaw multiple quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. He was also responsible in achieving Baby-Friendly accreditation for the facility.Dr. Abdelmalek has received multiple awards for excellence in clinical care as well as the education of both medical students and resident physicians. He has a strong commitment towards improving women's health. His areas of focus include full spectrum obstetrical care, health maintenance/preventive care, cervical dysplasia, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexually transmitted infections, complex contraception and gynecologic surgery.
