Biography: Paul F. Kent finished his undergraduate studies at the St. Lawrence University, followed by a combined MD/Ph.D. program at SUNY Upstate Medical University, with a doctorate in physiology. He was a resident and chief resident in Neurology, and completed his fellowship in Epilepsy/EEG at the SUNY Upstate Medical University. As an associate professor of neurology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, he was the Director of Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring. Since 2015, he has been an attending neurologist at the Columbia Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring Program. His research interests include developing optical imaging techniques for the Operating Room to image cortical function and epileptic activity.

Biography: Dr. Srinivasan completed her undergraduate studies at M.S. University of Baroda, India, receiving the Susmita Patel Memorial Gold Medal, and went on to complete a 3 year residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution. She then moved to the US, completed her neurology residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Following her residency, she completed a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Shen then joined the faculty at Columbia University as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology in 2011. She is the director of the Vanderbilt Epilepsy Clinic at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and is very closely involved in epilepsy fellow education and training. Her areas of focus include treatment of refractory epilepsy including epilepsy surgery and neuromodulation.

Biography: Dr. Pullman is the Founder and Director of the Clinical Motor Control Physiology Laboratory and Co-director of the Center for Movement Disorders Surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. His research interests include disorders of central motor control in Parkinson's disease and related disorders. Dr. Pullman is a regular reviewer for Neurology, EEG Clinical Neurophysiology, Movement Disorders, Archives of Neurology, Journal of the Neurological Sciences, Muscle and Nerve, Neurobiology of Aging, and Epilepsia. The Motor Control Physiology Laboratory is on the 11th floor of the Neurological Institute. Under Dr. Pullman's direction, the aim of the lab is to investigate normal and abnormal motor function using clinically-oriented physiological testing and experimentation. Areas of research include movement analysis, brainstem and spinal reflexes, botulinum toxin injections into limbs, intraoperative single unit recordings during functional neurosurgery, mathematical modeling, and artificial intelligence approaches to clinical and physiological data. Current projects include sophisticated diagnosis-oriented tremor analysis, back averaging EEG to EMG and polymyography, handwriting and spiral analysis, transcranial magnetic motor evoked responses, reaction time and movement speed analysis in patients undergoing surgery for Parkinson's disease, intraoperative monitoring during pallidotomy and diagnostic neural network paradigm development. Biography: Dr. Brannagan is the director of the Peripheral Neuropathy Center and co-director of the EMG laboratory at Columbia University Medical Center. He graduated from the University of Virginia and also received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He completed his Neurology residency training at the Neurological Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center between 1991 and 1994. He subsequently did a Neuromuscular EMG fellowship at Columbia, followed by a Neuroimmunology fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Norman Latov. Prior to returning to Columbia, Dr. Brannagan was the director of the Diabetic Neuropathy Research center at Cornell University in New York City. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, as well as the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is also a member of the International Society of Amyloidosis and the Peripheral Nerve Society. He currently sees patients with peripheral neuropathies and does electrodiagnostic studies, as well as conducts clinical research and clinical trials for new treatments for peripheral neuropathy, with a special interest in hereditary transthyretin amyloid polyneuropathy and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).
