Dr. Chancellor earned his Doctor of Medicine from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. He then went on to complete a general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship with University of Virginia Health System. He also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship with University of Virginia.Dr. Chancellor is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He provides patients with surgical care for complex and common conditions of the heart, lungs, and chest. He is experienced in coronary artery bypass, management of aortic and mitral valve disease, and surgical management of atrial fibrillation. During his residency, he served as resident member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Thoracic Surgery Residents Association, and American College of Surgeons. Biography: Huda Shaikh, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with Cardiothoracic Surgical Associates in Richmond, Virginia. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Richmond and her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University, in Binghamton, New York. Ms. Shaikh is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is multilingual with fluency in Urdu and Sindhi, in addition to English. Ms. Shaikh provides post-operative care for patients with cardiac and thoracic conditions. This includes caring for patients that have undergone open heart surgery and thoracic surgery, providing chest tube management, and follow up care in clinic.
