Biography: Dr. Jeffrey Harris has been practicing medical oncology in Northeast Florida for nearly 20 years. During his tenure, he has been an active participant in many National Cancer Institute sponsored clinical protocols including ECOG, NSABP and RTOG. He and his wife have been active in philanthropic efforts including participating with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and We Care Jacksonville. Dr. Harris served as a delegate for the Florida Medical Association and on the Board of Directors for the Duval County Medical Society from 2006-2012.

Biography: Dr. Mehdi M. Moezi is board certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. He practices at the Cancer Specialists of North Florida Fleming Island location. He began practicing medicine in 1990, and joined Cancer Specialists of North Florida in 2001 after practicing at SUNY-Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Moezi?s areas of interest include clinical research, breast cancer, hematologic malignancies, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, chronic myelogenous leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, colon cancer, lung cancer and targeted therapies. Dr. Moezi participates in the Cancer Specialists of North Florida clinical research department to find new treatments for cancer. Dr. Moezi has always believed in the science of oncology and the principles behind clinical research. ?In the past decade, time and again, the clinical cancer research has changed the way we understand, diagnose and treat cancer.? He is especially pleased that he and the research team at Cancer Specialists of North Florida participated in designing and developing new treatments for multiple myeloma. ?I have participated in many clinical trials and the outcome of some of this research has changed the standard of care for treating malignancies. I also have the privilege of actively participating in the design and conduct of clinical trials that help find new treatment options for cancer patients,? he says. When asked what Dr. Moezi enjoys the most about CSNF, he responded, ?Research, team work, excellent co-workers and staff, and comprehensive cancer care.? Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Moezi lives in Fleming Island with his wife and two children. When not at work, Dr. Moezi enjoys performance arts, music, reading, travel, skiing, tennis and museums.
