Biography: I have been a counselor for 24 years. I believe that counseling needs to be eclectic in order to best serve and support. I'm honored to have had rich clinical experience in Domestic Violence, Childhood Neglect and Dependence, Adoptions, Youth and Adult Developmental Disabilities, Addictions, Adolescent Conduct Disorder, Mental Health Disorders, and Veteran's Concerns. Counseling must be tailored to the consumer and the counseling model must follow suit. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works well with most; however, I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy for Depression (ITP-D), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. I have been working as a Social Worker since 2011 and my focus for the last 11 years has been working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma related concerns and substance use issues.
