Biography: My name is Faith Sanders. I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience in the field of psychology and mental health. I started my career as an addictions researcher at the University at Buffalo. After about 4 years, I decided I was destined to connect to people through clinical practice. I have specialties in Mindfulness, Trauma-informed care, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I provide a space free of judgment and I hope to lead you to a healthier connection with yourself. My approach is very goal-directed, but also gentle in being present with and working through difficult emotions that prohibit personal growth.

Biography: I want to welcome you to Better Help! I know that reaching out to a therapist can often be overwhelming and difficult so I would like to applaud you for willingness to take that step. I graduated from SUNY Albany with a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. and M.Ed from Columbia University in Psychological Counseling. I am licensed in Virginia (LPC) and Massachusetts (LMHC). I have worked in numerous settings including outpatient mental health and addiction treatment centers, as a contractor for the Department of Children and Families, and Day Treatment Programs. I have experience in both group and individual counseling working with children and adults. My treatment approach is adaptable depending on the needs of the client. I believe in the importance of client and therapist collaboration in order to determine the best course of action for the therapeutic process. Therapy is not a one size fits all process and the client's voice is pivotal when discussing action, change, and needs. I look forward to working with you!

Biography: I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the States of Maine and Massachusetts. I am authorized to provide diagnostic and treatment services to adults, 18 years and older, including the aging population, 65 and older. I have held this level of expertise for over 25 years. I am also recognized , and certified to provide these services under the federal Medicare program. My practice has been primarily at the acute hospital level of care and this has included: in the emergency room setting providing evaluation and crisis treatment services; in the acute care medical setting in a consultant role providing evaluation and treatment services to inpatients presenting with significant non-medical health problems; and in acute psychiatric care units as member of the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team of psychiatrists, nurses and other clinical therapist, providing evaluation and treatment services to both patients and their families. I have also specialized in treatment services to persons with problems of addiction and have provided treatment in the acute care detoxification setting, and also outpatient treatment services, including court ordered, group treatment to men and women. I have enjoyed considerable success in these various treatment settings, and I feel this is primarily due to my approach to treatment. Early on in my career I settled into the client centered Rogerion technique of treatment developed by Carl Rogers in the 60's. This is a non-judgemental approach, and emphasizes the focus of treatment is always where the client "is at" during any point. The process is to first in understand what is happening for them at the time of my intervention, and then in providing ongoing support and guidance based on extensive experience, through the treatment process. I have natural interest in people and sincere desire to be in a helping role towards the patients/clients that I become involved with. For me there is a certain spiritual element to my work, and a personal benefit that I receive in being able to helping others to improve their quality of life as a result their work and my assistance.
