Biography: Hassan Honainy, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist with LewisGale Physicians Jackson River in Low Moor, Virginia. Dr. Honainy graduated from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine, in Lebanon. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Maryland General Hospital, in Baltimore, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Honainy also completed a fellowship in nephrology and hypertension at University of South Florida Tampa. In addition to his medical training, he holds a bachelor of science in biology, graduating with distinction from American University of Beirut.Dr. Honainy is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. In addition, he serves as the Vice-Chairman of Medicine and chief of medical staff at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany. He is an Assistant clinical Professor at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and Edward Via osteopathic school of medicine. He is fluent in English and Arabic. When not treating patients, he dedicates his time to his family and he enjoys biking, chess, and Yoga.
