Dr. Zachary Spero, DPT

As a healthcare. provider for over 35 years, I’m in a unique position to be aware of those providers who clearly stand out. Having been treated by Dr Zach Spero since Nov 2024 for a total knee replacement, It was clear from the beginning that I made the correct decision. Dr Spero’s ability to communicate his treatment plan, goals, expectations , progress and daily ‘homework’ was always clear and well thought out. Thus made for a successful partnership for my recovery. Dr Spero’s empathy, and interest in his patients progress are traits not always experienced with providers. I can highly recommend Dr Zachary Spero without reservation.

I’ve worked with a few physical therapists over the years, but Dr. Zachary Spero is by far the best! From the very first session, he made me feel comfortable, creating an environment where I could truly be myself. Dr. Spero has a unique way of making treatment fun and enjoyable, so it doesn’t feel like work at all!Despite living about 25 minutes away and having plenty of PT options nearby, I choose to make the commute to see Dr. Spero because of the positive and effective experience he provides. His dedication to helping his patients shines through, and I genuinely feel that my progress is thanks to his expertise and support. I’m incredibly grateful to be under Dr. Spero’s care, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of physical therapy. He’s a game-changer!

After less than 2 weeks of therapy, the mobility in my shoulder (pained from an old injury) was noticeably improved. At age 71 I've had my share of PT over the years and Zach stands out among the many excellent professionals who have helped me. As competent as he is caring, Zach has an arsenal of techniques and listens to each patient in an effort to tailor his expertise to efficiently address every issue. Zach stands out as a super star among physical therapists, a profession that I have long admired.

While I was immediately informed that there would be no "cure", I was assured that with commitment to my treatment and an independent ongoing exercise plan I'd be able to gain relief. I have been working with Dr. Spero for the past 6 months during my recovery from ACL reconstruction surgery. His workout plans are well-planned and engaging. My surgeon has commended my exceptional progress and recovery time, and I believe that I would not have achieved this success without Dr. Spero's help. Dr. Spero is one of the most caring, insightful, thorough and knowledgeable physical therapists I have ever known. He has helped with me different orthopedic issues, and has always taken the time to analyze the problem(s) and then carefully develop interventions and therapies. He always looks for personal input and works to design individualized exercises and therapies, all toward the goal of developing an in-home program to keep you healthy over the long run. Superb!
