She provided me with NO therapy. The closest she came was to suggest I read up on boundaries, but when I asked for specific readings, she wouldn't give me any. 5 sessions and 2.5 months in, after having her listen without any feedback, and seemed to never remember our previous session, I got exasperated and begged her for tools to help me. She got angry and accused me of expecting her to wave a magic wand, because I told her my previous therapist (10 years ago) changed my life after 4 sessions. Then she told me to worry for 15 minutes per day, then not worry for the rest of the day... of course that didn't work. She missed our next appointment without cancelling. It was our 1st telehealth appt, as I was travelling for more than a month, and I even sent her a reminder message. I then messaged her asking about her methods and what we were doing together. She wouldn't tell me, instead she told me we weren't "a good fit." I told her I didn't want to start over with someone new because I was desperate for help now. Also, due to my travels, I wouldn't be able to start seeing someone until I return 5 weeks later. But I said if she could reffer me to someone who specializes in ADHD or CPTSD, okay. She cancelled our appointment and referred me to a walk-in clinic. I have a history of suicide attempts, so this was unbelievably irresponsible. Worst of all, I looked up her methodologies on her profile and it said "various methods" and cognitive behavioural therapy, and I mentioned 8n our first session that I was interested in CBT. I guess her methods are to "listen" till her patients treat themselves or leave. I would have gotten more help from a bartender.
