Dr. Xiaolu Hsi, PHD

Visited her about ADHD. Having read through multiple sources (including some of her interviews/podcasts), I found myself identifying with many of the symptoms. A lot of the things throughout my childhood that I thought were personal failings suddenly seemed to line up. I schedule an appointment with her, hoping to at least get answers. This would not be the case. Not only did she constantly interrupt what I told her and try to gaslight me into believing a different narrative, she kept recommending some "group therapy" for me. At one point, she told me, "You're fine; you have a 4.6. People with ADHD miss flights and struggle to get Cs." Got a C because I couldn't force myself to study for a class I was doing poorly in? "Don't you think 9 days is too much to study for a class? Most people don't work unless under pressure." Having problem focusing while reading? "Have you tried highlighting? :)" Am running out of characters, but she was demeaning. These were only a few of the gems.
