Dr. William Schultz, OD

My wife and I went to see Dr. Schultz for a routine eye exam. Dr. Schultz was confrontational from the start as to why we came in for an exam. No answers were good enough. He was difficult and adversarial throughout the appointment. The low point of the experience was the personal attack on me. When I asked for clarity on his attack he became defensive and doubled down that he was correct. I discussed my experience with a few others to make sure I was not out of line or misunderstanding his comments before writing this review. My wife and I are both professionals and this kind of behavior was shocking in this setting. I am confident that Dr. Schultz is bright and knowledgeable but my overall experience was very poor. I will continue to use Grand Rapids Ophthalmology but I will request to be seen by another doctor. The front desk staff, assistants, and glasses department were all top notch. This review is of my experience with Dr. Schultz.
