The counselor demonstrated an inability to connect with the patient and lacked knowledge in working with teenagers. There was no evident plan or application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy. While he claims to offer Christian counseling, his actions did not reflect empathy or understanding. Not everyone progresses at the same pace, and his approach seemed dismissive.He quit without warning, ending a session where I believed progress was being made. When we inquired about seeing another counselor, he informed us on behalf of the business that no other counselors were available within the Healing Impact network and that there was a waiting list.He expressed frustration at the perceived lack of progress, but in reality, he struggled to connect and needed more training on patient communication. I do not recommend his services, though this does not reflect on the Healing Impact business as a whole.
