Walter is an outstanding mediator and facilitator for my spouse and I. He is relaxed and easy to talk to, which makes the tough conversations a bit easier. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I am absolutely disappointed in the professionalism of this provider! How can you no show a client not once but two times within a month? If you as a provider can not make said appointment reach out to your client to reschedule! It’s as easy as that. After reading another review I see he doesn’t like when people need to reschedule on him. I understand from the professional aspect because time is money. But from a client aspect it is time that we put into our schedule to talk about life, marriage and just general issues! Do better! Be Better! And if you can not do this job seek employment elsewhere instead of the therapy field.

First session I was a bit surprised by how opinionated Walter was. Second session, I realized that he was just going to present his opinion on my decisions and not offer what I was actually seeking...a way to cope with the feelings that have been plaguing me. I entered the second session hopeful and left distraught. He ended the session 25 minutes early with no resolution, after 3 minutes of silence, and with a dismissive "reach out if there is anything else you feel like talking about." It's hard to be dismissed by someone who is being paid to help you in a very low point in your life, someone whose profession it is to provide health care and treatment to struggling people. Don't think he should be working in this field.

First, I want to emphasize that finding a mental health care professional is not like going to a retail store or pizza parlor. While each provider will have certifications and degrees required by the state and national boards - approaches will differ. The average person may visit 2-3 therapists before finding one they click with. I was referred to Walter Reed from my primary care provider. Scheduling an appointment with Mr. Reed was easy and he was open to using a video conferencing platform that worked for me. Mr. Reed conducted a thorough intake and was very good at listening and understanding what I was saying and confirming he understood what I was trying to get across. After the initial visit - Mr. Reed was able to put together a concrete plan and future schedule for further counseling sessions. I look forward to working with him going forward.

Extremely rude, dressed in a hoodie and beanie and looked very unprofessional. Was not understanding or kind about needing to reschedule appointment after having picked up wife from the mental hospital. Definitely should NOT be in the mental health field with his lack of empathy and understanding. Will be reporting him and his unprofessionalism to Lyra.
