Valerie Revolus

I rarely write reviews but felt like I had to for this provider after my experience. The entire time Valerie has been my psychiatrist, I never felt that she was invested in either my mental health or medication plan. I expressed to her from the beginning that I was unaccustomed to taking medication and was nervous about the process. She does not follow up on effects of medication combination, and didn’t provide thorough explanations on diagnosis, treatment, or prognosis. There were times she inaccurately recounted details of my life from her notes of previous sessions, making it clear to me that she wasn’t taking any real time to get to know me. Recent incidents include her forgetting to send one of two prescriptions to my pharmacy and sending an incorrect prescription for a medication we had not discussed. She also canceled several appointments the day of, providing no explanation or apology upon return. I consistently had difficulty reaching her and often only spoke with the network scheduler. I ended up feeling very on my own in my medication journey, and had to do a lot of my own research and symptom analysis. It feels kinda weird to have been vulnerable with someone who continued to show little care for me or my well-being. From my experience, Valerie was not detail-oriented, consistent, empathetic, or a good communicator. I would not recommend her as a provider.
