Talked more about my fertility than migraines

She did not read my chart at all to see my history and the type of migraines I get. She just kept calling them little headaches. This is my 3rd neurologist at this facility as the other 2 before her went to other companies or divisions. I normally get a talking to about needing more birth control than natural family planning and condoms. I told her that my obgyn also stated I would need surgery again to get pregnant and that I don't want kids. She refused to accept that answer stating 'you're young and will change your mind. You just have to tell us 6 months before you decide to try.' I already stated that I can't and don't want kids due to health problems. We did a quick exam and then she renewed my migraine meds. Over half of my time with her was spent discussing my fertility.

Appointment with NP Luke

Felt rushed, she offered really no solution or cause. Wanted to put me medication for migraine. I wasint seeing her for migraine. No reason, diagnosis, solution for symptoms I was being seen for. Referral for another doctor. Huge waste of my time, very disappointing.

I scheduled an appointment with Tricia to explore what is causing my migraines. My experience with her was underwhelming and left wanting. She lacked empathy for my situation. She expressed no interest in exploring or discovering what's causing my migraines and quickly just recommended taking a prescription medication to resolve the issue. I expressed to her that this appointment isn't what I had in mind and I wanted to know more about the cause. She took this comment with offense. She expressed no interest in discussing why I felt that way, instead she got very defensive and said that there are other people who suffer from migraines worse than I do, and be thankful that my situation isn't as bad as theirs. That really was upsetting and discouraging. When it comes to health care providers, I want someone who is caring, empathetic and listens, unfortunately Tricia didn't offer any of those characteristics. Instead she was close minded, belittling and apathetic.
