Dr. Tomara Young, OD

I've been Dr. Young's patient for about 10 years and appreciate her even more as my vision changes rapidly with age. She is all of the things that a doctor should be - punctual, professional, friendly AND accessible. She shows a sincere interest in my eye health and goes above the call of duty in her follow-up seeking solution for both my short and long-term comfort and satisfaction. Dr. Young knows I do not have vision coverage and makes suggestions that meet both my health and budget demands.

Overall I had a very positive experience with Dr. Young and her staff. She was careful to explain the importance of regular eye exams due to my family history of glaucoma. In addition, she was very sensitive to my new condition having never needed corrective glasses previously. Sh explained the process of aging on the eye and was very clear on what I can expect in the future. I recommend the practice and her as a practitioner.

During my appointment, the Tomara Young did not explain to me what I would be expecting to undergo during the glaucoma test procedure, where there would be a direct puff of air into my eye. When the first puff of air went into my eye, I had a very bad reaction to it because I wasn?t expecting that to happen, and it wasn?t explained to me beforehand. I began to cry from shock that there was a direct puff of air in my eye, and the Tomara Young then spoke to me in a mocking and condescending tone.
