Dr. Timothy White, OD

Dr. White worked me into his busy schedule because I had poked a stick in my eye. He was very reassuring, extremely pleasant and gave me the appropriate medication. I was very grateful that he was willing to see me.

I saw Dr. White for an eye exam which is free on my vision insurance. They tried to charge me a $50 deductible BEFORE my visit except I told them eye exams are free on my vision insurance and I wasn't paying a copay. I still received a bill for the deductible. I called the billing department and was told Dr. White diagnosed a medical condition so they charged my health insurance which has a deductible. Dr. White did NOT see or diagnose a medical condition. I asked him about something that had been going on with the skin around my eyes but wasn't currently when I saw him. He then sent in a prescription for eye drops I did NOT even need nor could I use. He put down a bogus diagnosis after he said my vision was fine so they could file it on my health insurance instead of my vision which they had already planned to before my visit. Premiere's billing department told me they wouldn't charge the copay if they could leave it on my health insurance instead of filing on my vision. BEWARE!

I have an older child who has worn glasses for most of their life so when my younger child failed the eye exam at school I naturally called my older child's doctor's office first. Even though they have never endeared me to them the doctor is supposedly the "best in South Alabama". After being passed to 4 different intake personnel I was told that because of my child's insurance (medicaid for those not in the know) and limited spaces for those appointments my child wouldn't be able to be seen until August and I would be better off going somewhere else. This has been my typical experience with this doctor's office. Honestly I'm glad to have been passed off for the final time because I found Dr. White and was able to be seen that same week. I couldn't have been happier with any part of the visit or treatment. If you're looking for a doctor who will give you quality treatment and also the respect and dignity we all deserve then you don't need to look further than Dr. White.

I came to see Dr White because my eyelids were crusting and very tender in the edge of my eyes, my eyes were reddening slightly and it had gotten a bit worse daily. Dr White knew exactly what to do, he told me to get lid scrubs (handed me a couple of samples so I knew what they would look like), he ordered eye drops for 10 days 3 times a day and Docycline pills twice a day for 14 days. I felt better each day and by the 14th I was rid of whatever had grabbed hold of me. Dr White knows what he is doing!
