Professional, respectful, insightful, smart
Professional, respectful, insightful, and extremely smart. I have historically had to see therapists, and working with Tom (Thomas) Kaufman at Silver Linings (formerly Madison Psychotherapy) has been been one of the best therapy experiences I have had. I worked with him for 4 months, with visits starting at once a week and tapering to once every three weeks. He not only helped troubleshoot things, but he gave me the tools to keep doing that on my own. I am now doing so much better, and I'm increasingly able to come up with solutions on my own.

Constant miscommunication
We had multiple issues where Tom miscommunicated about appts. Either he had to cancel or thought we were virtual when we were in person. He also just didn't seem like a great fit for our son. In addition, we also had issues with insurance and after 6 months, decided to seek care elsewhere.

I came to see Tom to get help for my child. Tom was great and understanding and he helped me understand how I can be a better Mom. I learned a lot and I know my child did much better after seeing him. I feel that my family is much more calm and we are feeling so much closer now. I would definitely recommend a therapist like Tom
