Dr. Teresa Cochran, PHD

I hope if you are seeking help that you will not hesitate to contact Dr, Cochran. During a time of crisis she helped me survive and then helped me to explore other areas of my life including past ways of operating within the world. The result is a much more pleasant and fulfilled existence. . How you work with her will be up to you but if you put forth effort you will find Dr. Cochran to be a highly trained practitioner who is able to support you during this work in a compassionate and knowledgeable way. This is a deeper understanding of self that has lasting effects. I am most grateful for the help she has given.

Dr Cochran’s best contribution was the referral she made for a different practitioner. As a couples’ therapist, she had difficulty hearing what each of us had to say about our own experiences. She seemed earnest but in the end we lost ground rather than moved forward.

I worked with Dr. Cochran for several years and found the experience positive, productive, and rewarding. She was particularly effective in helping me challenge underlying assumptions and complex feelings I had left unresolved for years. In working with her, I identified patterns in my own behavior that had interfered in my professional work (as a writer and teacher). Such work is not easy, but she helped me work through the difficult parts and I remain grateful for her support and expertise.

This is a know-it-all, one size fits all therapist who would be more at home in Wellesley than on Cape. If you want to be told what your really thinking and feeling, as opposed to what you thought and felt you were, this is the person for you. As much empathy as a brick.
