I overlooked warning signs earlier in my relationship with Tenley when she made judgmental comments about the recommendations of other professionals that I was working with. After I clarified to her why their recommendations made sense in context, she ignored me and kept repeating her comments later on. The red flag was when she wrote in an email to me, directly judging my own character and making statements that were blatantly hurtful projections. If I didn't have the sense to see that this was her own ignorance, it could have really stuck in my head and harmed me long-term. When I replied to share how it had impacted me, proposing we repair the misunderstanding, she responded with "sorry that our paths are no longer congruent" and cancelled the next appointment. When I clarified that this isn't what I was asking for, her final reply was "Sorry, don’t have time to read lengthy emails." This is the worst I have ever been treated by a provider!
