Tanya Purcell, PC

We have been seeing Tanya for a couple of years now and she has been such a wonderful influence, not just for my son, but for my whole family. She works with my son on his social skills, anxiety and transitioning from one thing to another, just to name a few things. But I find the most value in her ability to help me see my child better and understand better what is going on with him when he is unable to tell me himself. That she understands that educating and supporting me as a parent is just as important as therapy for my child is a priceless attribute to the services she provides.

My family and I have been going to Tanya for almost 4 years, we brought our son first for play therapy counselor due to some trauma in his life at 6 years old. She has been amazing with him and my husband and I have seen her for marriage counseling also. I HIGHLY recommend Tanya to everyone who is in need of counseling. She has never made us feel rushed at our appointment, she explained why he does certain things and how best to help him at home.

•Unprofessional and rude •Dismissive •Could strongly benefit from cultural core training •During initial meeting she asked inappropriate questions about my two foster daughters’ behaviors right in front of the children— children with whom I am newly building a rapport with •Lacks empathy or concern and it clearly shows •Cancelled the appointment with my foster daughters Case Worker saying she was uncomfortable addressing a serious matter vs talking to me directly •It is apparent that she does not work well with individuals who have multiple children and need flexibility in scheduling •If you are looking to be treated with respect and/or a caring approach she is not an individual I would recommend •Eating while talking to a client is terrible etiquette
