Nice but ineffective, untrustworthy
Dr. Thorpe was friendly but the sessions held little substance. She suggested books to read but there was little follow-up on progress made. When there were sticking points there was no process or depth to understand or resolve issues. When we requested more depth it was not forthcoming. We never quite felt we could trust her. Sadly this feeling was justified as she shared our personal notes without forewarning or our permission, which destroyed our trust. I would recommend her for lightweight easily solved problems, and don’t share with her anything you would regret seeing on social media. In other words, it’s difficult to have success with an untrustworthy counselor.
