I gave birth at Saint Joseph - South in Riverview in June 2022. Throughout my pregnancy I went to Women's Care and saw a variety of doctors and was told any one of them could be the one to deliver my baby. When I arrived on 'D-Day' none of them were there, and the nerves set in! However, the team at St Joes was absolutely amazing!! Syed came in and helped me through a quick and relatively painless delivery! For some including myself certain stigma's come to mind when thinking of working with a midwife that it might be inferior to working with a 'Doctor' but Syed gave me the absolute best experience I will never forget her and will forever be grateful she was a part of it helping me bring my baby safely in this world!

Dr. Rodriguez was amazing from the moment she step foot in my delivery room. But I have to say at the delivery momemt she did everything to get my baby Gian safe and healthy to this world, she gave us so much more then a great delivery experience she was a great blessings to us. At st joseph south syed was so great to my moms i have a baby sister on the way and even though my moms are part of the lgbtq community she didn’t treat us any differently. I went into St. Joseph South thinking I may be going into early labor. Being this is my first pregnancy, I was overcome with emotions of fear, anxiety, and overall apprehension. Immediately when I met Syed, she calmed me with her gentle tone and loving reassurance. She educated me while making sure I didn’t get worked up and create undue stress. It’s one thing to be skilled in your profession which Syed certainly is. But to have the heart and compassion that pours out to your patient is God given. Syed is truly an angel that cares about you as more than a patient. I can’t wait for her to deliver our baby girl in October!!!!

When I walked in to st joesph south, I was already so nervous, it’s my wife and I’s first baby, so we didn’t know what to expect. The way she entered the room and so personable, it brung tears to my eyes. She spoke to us BOTH as if we were both the patients. Syed took the time and educated us in the moment. After her exam and feedback we are even more ready to go into parenthood. Thank you Syed your warm heart and care for us as a unit will never go unnoticed.

I am so thankful to have had Syed as my midwife during labor and delivery at Lakeland Regional August 2021. She made me feel empowered, in control, and communicated everything to me so well even during the height of the chaos of delivery! Word can’t express how grateful I am for her.

Best provider/midwife. Hands down! She is sweet, compassionate and caring. Very articulate and educated me on all my treatments/medications and interventions. I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum and she advocated for me to the fullest. My pregnancies are rough, but she gave me the confidence I needed to have a safe pregnancy and delivery. She was always available and more than willing to answer any questions or concerns I had. She was on top and ahead of every obstacle my medical conditions brought. She also communicated and worked along with my high risk doctor to ensure the best possible outcomes. If I can have more children in the future I will always choose her. I just love her!

Syed was my midwife when I delivered my daughter in April 2021. I did not know her prior to the delivery time! The way that she commanded the room and made me feel like I was so powerful/confident was unbelievable. I would recommend her a million times over! Thank you so much, Syed! You are the BEST!!

Syed followed me through my entire pregnancy with my final child, Weston. She was absolutely the best NP, hands down. I was extremely lucky to have her while she was still with a practice in the Tampa Bay Area. She followed all of my wishes to a T and helped me make my birth plan. We are done having children now, but if anyone were to ask me about a midwife referral, Syed would be my first and only choice.

Syed is beyond amazing! She went above and beyond for me during all 3 pregnancies. She puts in added care and concern and honestly makes you feel so comfortable from beginning to end. I’m forever grateful for all she has done for me.

She made me feel safe & regards of what was going on she made me feel like I was in the right hands. With my second delivery I was super anxious since my first time was an emergency & she was there once more outdoing her self making me feel safe. 6 years later she still keeps in touch.
