Suzanne Milano, LCSW

Suzanne is an incredibly skilled and professional therapist. She's patient, thoughtful, and kind. I would recommend anyone who is seeking empowering work with someone who is honest to see her. I began therapy with her a few years ago after I began having severe anxiety and panic attacks and continued sessions with her to work through other life stressors. Since my first session, I have learned so much about myself and what tools I need to succeed. Suzanne has always made me feel heard and valued. My experience with her has been exceptional and has inspired me to work in the mental health field as well.

I've been seeing Suzanne for about 10 years now and can't imagine my life without her. I started after my divorce when I needed help coping. But then I have continued counseling because I see the changes she's helped me make in all relationships and aspects of life. She's always been patient, honest, and nonjudgmental. I truly look forward to our appointments and getting direction and logic from her. Some periods of life are harder than others, but knowing she's there through them all really makes the difference. My daughter also started seeing her about 4 years ago. A girl who originally thought therapy was pointless has now changed her whole career path and will be a future therapist as well. Thanks to the guidance and care shown from Suzanne. I always say all therapists aren't created equal, so if you haven't had a good experience, it's because you haven't been to Suzanne. I cannot thank her enough for the positive changes she's made in mine and my daughter's life.

8 or so years ago, I was in your shoes; knowing something was off with me but had no idea where to look. Fear not, I've done the work for you! Suzanne was actually referred to me by another provider who was not taking any patients. I'm so grateful for that! She has been my therapist for almost a decade now and I wouldn't have it any other way. Where I was 8 years ago and now, HA! Night and day difference. Did I mention she's AWESOME with youth?! My teenager has been going to her for a few years now to help us navigate those pesky highschool and teenage years and she's been a blessing!

She is truly an advocate for her patient’s well-being . She takes the time to listen and really work through every situation . As a young professional, I was able to gain control of my life and where I wanted it to be . I have done this through my therapy with her. Every week has been really good for my health . I was excited about scheduling an appointment with her after extensive research on the options in my area, mostly because of all the glowing reviews here and the absence of reviews on everyone else. I soon learned that this was not going to be a good fit. She seemed primarily concerned with how she was going to be paid, didn't listen to what I said about payment during our phone or text conversations, and was texting me while she was supposed to be in sessions, not between them. All red flags. I absolutely understand her concern about payment. However, I explained on the phone that I had EAP benefits through my employer and my husband's employer and that I would pay out of pocket if needed. She was so caught up in the fact that she was "not accepting" my EAP, that she ignored that I said I would pay cash and more importantly, that I needed help. The whole interaction made my situation so much worse. I was finally hopeful about getting help; now I am back to ground zero.

It was great. She is an amazing and understanding person. Things have gotten so much better since seeing her. I’ve been with her for 3 years now

Going for therapy to me is like maintenance on a car... I go on a regular basis... whether times are good, tough, difficult, sad, and trying.. and I am BLESSED TO HAVE A THERAPIST who is ALWAYS THERE FOR ME!!!! She is DEDICATED, LOYAL, UNDERSTANDING, CARING, INTELLIGENT, and PROFESSIONAL. To me, she is IRREPLACEABLE and she is my “BEAUTIFUL MIND OF REASON!”

I've been going to Suzanne Milano for about a year. She is amazing. She clearly cares about her patients, is insightful, and very good at getting to the real problem. She's compassionate but gently tells it like she sees it - no hiding from your issues. She's one of the best therapists I've ever had. After I started with Suzanne my marriage started falling apart. With Suzanne's help I got through it, and with her continuing help my husband and I are now dealing with the real issues. I believe we have a chance now, for things to be much better than before. Her rates are very fair for cash-only patients (she does take some insurances). She does her own billing and keeps on top of it. She is very responsive, and if she's particularly concerned she'll check in by text or phone. I've never seen a therapist do this. Suzanne has recommended very good doctors as well. I was able to switch psychiatrists for meds, reducing my overall stress to an amazing degree.

The best they come! I have seen her for years and look forward to many more. There is not enough time to write everything she has helped me with thus far. From relationships to family issues, my children, work, you name it.. she has been my rock through it all and there's nobody I trust more than her. I thank God for finding her and hope you decide to look no further.

I am continually grateful that when I was searching for a therapist 3 1/2 years ago after my Mom passed away, that I ended up in Suzanne's office. She helped me to navigate the hardest time of my life with understanding, wisdom and compassion. She has great insight and is very fair in her assessments of situations. I had never been to solo counseling before, but I continue to see Suzanne because she makes life easier & more manageable. It's also worth noting that on occasion during my counseling sessions working through grief, that my fiancé joined in. As we went through our engagement and subsequent first years of marriage, we did some couples counseling with Suzanne. She has helped us get through some difficult things life has thrown at us, and improved our communication and overall relationship. My husband, who had a previous negative experience with counseling, finds her easy to talk to and enjoys having sessions with her as well. I think that says a lot! She really is the best!

Did not even get a visit. Although she mentions on her website that she has flexible hours during evenings and weekends she only gives one option (not during evenings and weekends) for an appointment and if you cannot make it for that first option then she does not even give any other options. Kind of take it or leave it mentality. She obviously does not need new clients. During her work day she says she does not even have 2 minutes to call a potential client. Not my cup of tea.
