Susan Esco, MS

Susan is amazing with the youth we serve here at Apple Brooke. She is always focused on the youth and their advancement in treatment which is sometimes hard to find. She is also a great communicator and works well with a treatment team.

Susan has been working with now 21 year old autistic son for approx. 5 1/2 years. In that time he has gone from having no functional language to being able to speak! Words cannot describe the transformation it has made in his life. I would recommend her to any family that has a child or adult who struggles to communicate.

I would highly recommend Susan Esco. She is an excellent speech therapist. She is very professional, prepared and patient working with developmentally delayed people. She has worked with my grandson for 5+ years. Carter is a severely autistic young man who lives with his single dad. Susan has guided us through multiple ways to help Carter express himself through his words and iPad.. She has set up personal "stories" on his iPad showing step by step how to become more independent. For example he can say and write his dad's phone number, tie his shoes, identify foods - body parts - household items - whether he hurts, including expressing his likes and dislikes by stating yes or no, thumbs up or down. She has high expectations for Carter and works with the family to help Carter achieve milestones that are appropriate for his age and ability. Carter is learning to read by sounding out words, articulate sounds, and make eye contact. Carter likes Susan and he has come a long way.

Susan Esco provides in-home services only. She is very kind and knowledgeable in her field. I have nothing but good things to say about her services.
