Steven Gares

I had a 15 minute phone consultation with this counselor as part of my dr & insurance company’s prerequisite for my surgery. What a nightmare trying to get this man to refund me for the overpayment. I paid him up front but by the time he filed the insurance claim I had already met 100% of my out of pocket so I was then due a full refund. However, it took several emails (some not so nice) and almost 3 months to get my money refunded back on my credit card. If you are referred to him… run in a different direction or if you already encountered him fight for every cent of your money because he is legally required to refund you.

I too had a similar experience with Steve Gares as the last reviewer. He charged my wife and I $175 each he then filed claims with our insurance provider Cigna which said he should have charged us $20 copay. So not only did he get $350 from us then Cigna paid him as well. All attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful. He is a scammer beware!

Steve Gares lied to me about what my insurance did and did not cover, charged me $175 for a 45 minute session. My insurance covers it, and should have received a refund. Steve has refused to file the claim with my insurance and refuses to provide a business tax id number for us to file ourselves. I cannot in good faith recommend Steve to anyone.
