Dr. Steven Friedman, OD

I’m surprised to see any negative reviews as I know Dr Friedman as a soft-spoken, kind and knowledgeable person. He has always been pleasant and helpful. My family and I have been seeing him for over fifteen years. I would highly recommend him.

I have been seen by Dr. Friedman a number of times over the years at Americas Best in Golden Gate Plaza. Each encounter with him is short and cold. His demeanor is unpleasant and far from welcoming. My latest visit resulted in Dr. Friedman refusing to see me because of a scheduling error made by the staff. Instead of offering an explanation to me or being apologetic he rudely said: "I will not see you, it isn't my problem." NO STARS. He is so rude.

The doctor walked into the room provided no eye contact, asked if I was ok. Then asked for my glasses, took them obruptly from my hands and tossed them on the counter( glad thy were not scratched or broken). Then he preceded to ask me questions like how often I have been wearing my contacts- when in my file it shows that I haven't worn contacts for years since I had lasik. He then throw a piece of paper at me stating I ordered contacts in 2010 before the lasik. I asked to see another doctor
