Dr. Steven Bresnahan, OD

My child's glasses needed an adjustment. Was told I could come in and get it done. When we arrived, they said we had to leave them and they would call me when done. How are they going to adjust them without the patient there? How is my child going to see in the mean time? No apologies for miscommunication. No offer to get them done as agreed on our phone call. I lowered my Google review to a three star due to poor communication. Noone reached out to discuss the review or apologize for the poor communication. Made an appt for same child to get an annual exam. Walked in to check in. He was standing behind the counter with arms crossed, told me he saw my review, and that we were no longer welcome. Again, no offer to discuss the poor service.

Made a appt at 9 got called back basically saying I was banned because I missed an appointment sometime before. He's going to run out of patients eventually. I think he was a train conductor in a past life, maybe clock maker. It's laughable to see someone putting their own self out of business.

1st visit, had an appointment set for my 2 boys at 10:30am and 11:00am, arrived at 10:27am. Was greeted by the front desk, Dr. Bresnahn was sitting on the counter and immediately asked if I was the 10:20 appointment and I told him I have a 10:30 and 11am appt for my kids, he said I was late and that if it was my appointment he would not be seeing me. I stated it must have been a misunderstanding on the time but that I understood his importance on time. He continued to speak to as if I was his child on the importance of time. He left to the back while I started filing paperwork out then came back and said he would not be seeing any of my sons and we left. His front desk could have asked me to reschedule if it was a big deal but instead he chose to be unprofessional about it.

Had a great visit. They did everything correctly and my daughter was able to get new glasses and the turn around was almost 2 weeks. Great service and care.

My family used this eye doctor for 2 years. Errors during our first visits were handled so we returned. Multiple errors and complete incompetence on next visits were inexcusable. I'm still in contact with several of his former office staff. His treatment of them as human beings is appalling.
