Unreliable with refills, late to appointments with no warning, and gaslights instead of holding himself accountable. He left me without refills and then tried to tell me my medication didn’t cause withdrawal when I described the withdrawal symptoms I was having. A simple Google search of the medication and the word “withdrawal” brings up pages and pages of information regarding withdrawal from the med lol. I’ve been seeing this provider for almost five years and this has always been a problem. The reason I have taken so long to find another is that everyone else is full and or not taking new patients. Seriously avoid this guy.

Be Very Cautious
At first he seemed good however as time went on, you needed to do all the extra footwork to make sure he got the blood work entered into the REM system and got the script to the pharmacy. When he didn't complete this, calls were made to plead for the medication. As a result, medication ran out, calls weren't answered & the REMS report line was called a few diff times with intervention from them or the pharmacy. The drug she was on MUST NOT EVER be abruptly stopped without the patient sustaining injury, complications or medical compromise. I'm a lic. health care professional myself for years with much background and experience. 'First Do No Harm' I don't understand how someone can so easily abandon a patient without a word especially the most needy who often can't advocate for themselves. Finally, the very last time this occurred, she went into crisis and DID develop TD & medical compromise, was seen as an emergency several times & 2 different MD's have suggested calling Boston.

Fantastic
My son has been seeing him for about 3 years. He is kind, compassionate, and really listens to my son. He is knowledgeable and has always guided us in the right direction for my sons medications. His support staff are horrible though.

I had a very distressing experience with Dr. Zombil. Twice, he left us completely hanging when he had an appointment with our child. He didn't show up for the appointments, and we were not notified in advance by his staff. When I complained to his staff and explained that we had moved our schedules in order to accommodate the appointments, it seemed like Dr. Zombil was frustrated about being asked about the appointments. The next time we tried to make an appointment, we were told that he would not be available to see our child. Even after I noted that he had a relationship with the child, who started seeing him specifically because the child had a self-harm event and it was irresponsible to leave the child with no medication, he never called back, nor did he refill the prescription. We had to scramble to obtain a refill from the PCP since it is a challenge to get a pediatric psych appointment quickly. Overall an incredibly frustrating and potentially dangerous experience.

Exceptional care...
I've been a patient about 8 months. I've had really good experiences with staff. I can honestly say that Dr Zombil has been somewhat of a lifesaver for me. He listens, ask questions and discusses your prognosis, how you are feeling and a plan to proceed. I highly recommend him.

Horrible reception desk
I’m only leaving 4 stars because he is a good dr but his receptionist are terrible. I have been calling for four weeks and they say they don’t have an appointment every time I call. I have gone without medicine for four weeks. I have been a patient for over a year and never had this problem . He needs new staff. They are by far the worst. Liz is completely useless at her job. If I could remember the other man’s name I would say his to. But she answers most of the calls. I worked as medical secretary for a year at Umass . This lady has no clue how to do her job.

Useless
Doesn’t listen to the parents concerning medications. Never responds to messages and has no problem leaving your child high and dry without medication refills.

Terrible. Rude. How do you start your first appointment yelling at a child with mental health issues. Because the office didn't send all paperwork ahead of time. I tried to explain vthus to him and he wouldn't listen. hack.
