Found Steven had a refreshing approach to dealing with not only symptoms. He has a, unique to the marketplace, concern for the prevention of illness. And further, he clearly spells out the possible long term effects of some medications.

I had been through several internal medicine providers at Ascension as they all left, so I had an appointment with Stephen Meyer. I have extensive medical issues over decades and also have medical training and licensing. I found Stephen Meyer very condescending. He quizzed me some of my medications and I told him medical details that he did not expect. He did not like that I knew anything about my own treatment and suggested I stop all prescriptions, I said a drastic move like that is negligent and potentially deadly so we have nothing further to discuss and I left. I told my other doctors of his suggestion and they were very upset as I was the third patient to tell them Stephen Meyer said to stop all medications. I would not recommend him unless you have a cold and no one else has openings.

I never feel as if I'm rushed as he takes the time to talk and listen to his patient. Not quick to order unnecessary tests or procedures. My family feels very comfortable and very happy he is our physician.

A little quick and condescending for my taste. Seems a little too impressed with himself. Unwilling to take the time to answer all the patient's questions and use terminology that a normal person would understand. He is young, though, so maybe he just hasn't developed his people skills or bedside manner yet. I think he has a pretty good handle on his medical knowledge, but patients want a caring doctor who takes time to clarify things also. Guess they can't teach that in school.
